Byakuya was always my favorite character to be honest. Even before his character development and his shikai and bankai there was just something about him. He humbled ichigo with the quickness and took his powers away first. But he did it in such a way he didnt come off as a aggroant prick he did it in a way to be like look dude im saving your life! And then in the full bring arc he was the only one who was ichigo's ride or die and beat the dude with book of the end.

I’m convinced his Bankai either increases ishiins strength and speed but at the cost of straining his body similar to the eight gates from Naruto or he’s simply able to ignite his blood into explosions requiring him to use his blood for most of his attacks
